Why can’t they leave it alone – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

After the wholesale changes employed by the previous ‘Facebook Experience Upgrade’ caused most of the chatter on FB to disappear overnight, they are now intending to force yet another change on us all. Continue reading

They should be ashamed of themselves – trying to scare us into accepting what is blatently a load of tosh.
GM foods will NOT solve the food crisis (if one exists) and are merely paving the way for control of the global food production into the hands of large corporations.
No-one has been able to test sufficiently on the side-effects to the environment, let alone to human beings. I read somewhere that a particular GM foodstuff was fed to rats in a control sample – and they all suffered massive failure, sterility and died.
“This beef is safe to eat” – well where is the Mr.- Gummer of the GM industry.
One of the reasons we came to Spain was so that we could grow a large percentage of our food (and therefore control the purity and quality) .
We have purchased ‘Real Seeds’ which we can grow, and then harvest the seed from these plants from one year to the next. You will not be allowed to do this soon – in fact the EU already has a list of vegetable seeds that you can no longer buy. And I do not mean the high-altitude tobacco variety.
It is absolute insanity to meddle with ‘nature’ in this way and if allowed to progress, then they will reap a different harvest to that which they expect.
As one illuminated blog poster wrote (not me) they will only sort this food crisis out when they are staring into the abyss of disaster.

January 2007 !

Managed to have a wonderful and restful Christmas season, ‘tho Jen has been working very hard in the shop – it was nice for her to have a few days off.

Can’t quite believe that it is January already – our deadlines start to draw near. Looking outside my window – it has been throwing it down with grey skies all (short) day long. The kids almost go to school in darkness, and come back at dusk. By way of a contrast – in Spain it has been T-shirt weather – should be able to cope with that next January.
